McFatty Monday week 6

I am home with a sick child today! Corbin has the stomach flu, right before bedtime last night he got sick! Poor baby! I was worried he would throw up while going to sleep and I didn't want him chocking so I made him sleep on the couch downstairs for awhile. I think he feels much better today! Thank goodness! He has been laying on the couch a lot snuggled up with blankets!

I lost a pound this week and am getting close to my goal weight! I still cannot fit into my favorite jeans- they wont zip! I still have 6 lbs to lose! Hopefully they will fit then!

Ok gotta go put Corbin down for a nap and feed Grayson!

Corbin's 2 year doctor appointment

Corbin went in for his two year doctors appointment yesterday. He weighed in at 24.8 lbs (10%) and was 33 1/2 inches (25-50%) long. He had to get one shot! I spared him and didn't let him get the flu shot! I honestly don't see the point! My dad gets one every year and still gets sick. Anyways everything was great with Corbin and he passed the Autism questionnaire with flying colors! (I wasn't worried!) We also talked about potty training. I told the doctor Corbin is starting to take interest and I also expressed that I will NOT put him in pull-ups! She agreed! After potty training a bunch of kids and seeing parents of my students fall back on pull ups and their children regressing with the whole potty training issue its something I don't want to do to my boys.

When Dr. Owens was about to leave I mentioned that I have thrush again and so she checked Grayson's mouth and sure enough he had some thrush way back by his back gums on one side. NO wonder I couldn't see it there wasn't much and I would have ahd to shine a flashlight to see it. So this solves why Grayson and I keep getting it! So Dr. Owens wrote us prescriptions for nystatin and I have to give Grayson the oral solution for 14 days!

When we left I was dredding it because Corbin is doing this new thing where if we leave daycare or something he refused to come with me! Its super frustrating when I have Grayson in the carseat and I have to stop and put Corbin in time out for not listening to me! When we went to go check out Corbin pulled the whole I am not walking thing and I dragged him for a few steps! Not so fun! Then once we got done checking out he wouldn't come to the car with me so I put him in time out. Then once he STILL wouldn't come after like 5 minutes I was like OK I will carry him and then carry Grayson's carseat! Well not so fun Corbin procceded to hit me in the face! I was not happy at all!

Who possessed my child with the spirit of the terrible two monster? Just last week he was just FINE with coming to the car with me from daycare etc! Oh the joys of figuring out parenting a two year old!

He is super sweet though! He has started singing the Thomas theme song! He sings it "doo doo doo" to the tune of the song and then says "Thomas and his friends!" Its super cute and has even made my hubby sing the theme song at work with one of his coworkers who has children who knows all about Thomas! He also knows most of his colors! He loves telling us what colors his trains and cars are!

McFatty Monday Week 5

I lost half a pound this week and I am only 7 lbs away from my goal weight. I ate a ton of crap this weekend. From Corbin's birthday, my Dad's birthday and a wonderful dinner at the Driskill, and Corbin's birthday party yesterday I ate a ton of GOOD food! Oh man I need to do a post on the Driskill! Lets just say I pulled a few "MacKenzie's" as my parents have named the stupid, klutzy stuff I do! Another post on that another time.

I am actually posting at work, its parent teacher conference day and I only had one, I am about to go pick up my boys from school! Once I get home I don't even turn on my computer! Hence this is why I don't post much at all anymore.

I don't really have any goals for myself this week other than try and eat a bit healthier and be more conscious of what I am eating and how much I am eating at once.

Here's to another week and I hope I am able to work out at least a bit and start seeing some results again!

BTW: I am working on a post about Corbin's birthday party!

Corbin's Birthday Party!

The morning of the party trying to get a picture of Corbin with his favorite "bankies!"

Our boy just woke up on Valentine's day ready to party! (he had just yawned!)

Hillarious picture of Corbin wearing his brother's 3 month pants! Jason's Dad watched the boys for us on Saturday night while we went to the Driskill, (BTW I was dressed up in a nice dress, but changed to get warm when we got back to their house.) Corbin's diaper leaked and his pants got all wet and so they put Corbin in Grayson's pants!

Corbin's party turned out really nice! It ended up that just a bunch of family came which worked out better because Grayson had woken up with pink eye and I had to run the boys to the pediatrician morning. When we woke up Sunday Corbin couldn't find James, his train. Corbin was so cute at the doctors office because he asked the pediatrician "Where's James!?" We finally found him buried in the car.

Corbin's racetrack cake turned out so cute!

Singing "Happy Birthday!"

Blowing out the candles!

Opening presents!

UPATED with pictures: Happy 2nd Birthday Corbin!

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Corbin and his friend Piper!

At Corbin's Valentine's Party at his school!

Happy 2nd birthday to Corbin!!!! Its hard to believe that Corbin is two! It feels like I just had my sweet baby boy! Its also hard to believe we've had two kids in two years! Whew! Corbin had a great birthday! I had a staff development day so I got to come to his Valentine's party at school! Jason even came too! We took pictures but I will have to upload them later because I still don't know how to put them on the computer with our new camera! Then after schoool we went home and ordered Corbin's favorite, pizza for dinner! We ended up going and meeting my family at Johnny Carinos because my brother is in town for my Dad's 60th birthday, which is tomorrow.

BTW Jason surprised me with a new camera! We were finally able to capture Grayson's sweet smile with this new camera! The old camera took FOREVER to take pictures and Grayson would be done smiling by the time the picture was taken.Grayson's sweet smile!

Corbin got a lot of Thomas the Trains for his birthday which he was happy about! Our boy LOVES seeing trains now! IT seems whenever we are going to school we hear a train and he says "Choo Choo Mommy!"

We love you Corbin Michael! You have truly blessed our lives! I love all the quirky silly things you do! I love that lately you love the UT "bankies" (blanket) and get upset if we give it to Grayson and say "my bankies." You are making Mommy go on a mad search of this blanket we got two years ago and I cannot find it! I wish I knew back then that you would love this blanket! I love that you call milk, "note!" I wish I could video tape every moment of our day because of all the funny things you do and say and I don't want to forget any of it! Oh geez now I have tears in my eyes thinking about our sweet boy! I cannot believe that two years ago you were still in my tummy! 9:20 pm on 2/12/2008 was the best day of my life! Thats when I knew how to love someone so much in an instant!

We love you so much Corbin!

Mcfatty Monday week 4

Well I didn't lose any weight this past week. Oh well! I have been super stressed with going back to work and had no time to work out at all! I am struggling to find a balance between work and life at home with two little kids. I come home super agitated that the house is a wreck and have no time to play with the boys or talk with my husband because I am running around like a madwoman trying to clean or make lunches etc. Isn't life supposed to be about playing with my kids and being with my husband? This is totally what I dreaded about going back to work, neglecting my relationship about my husband and not having time to play with my kids or keeping up with housework. Its really upsetting me.

So alas I think this is why I am not losing weight and choosing bad choices and not eating as healthy.

Hopefully better luck next week?

Mcfatty Monday week 3

Update: I wrote this blog Feb 1st but finally posting it Feb. 3rd. Let me just say I am definitely getting my work out at work! We went to the Children's museum today and I ran after one of my students literally the whole time! I am so exhausted! Two of my students had complete meltdowns and would NOT get on the bus! Also I might add, after today my class is not going on ANY more field trips! Having one student who cannot stay with the group and tantrums every time you try to move them and change their routine isn't worth the "fun" a field trip is supposed to entail! Ok off to bed I go! SO tired!

Week 3- Results- I lost a pound and a half!! Woo hoo!

I met my goal of working out three times although it was Sunday- Tuesday and then once I went back to work I have been so tired that working out has taken a backseat to being with my boys and nightly chores. My two other goals, not to stress eat and spend time with my boys, well sadly I need to work on this more! I stayed at work until almost 5:30 or 6. Alright I am off to bed!

Goals this week-

1) Drink more water

2) Spend time with my family more and not stress about housework.
