During spring break my sister Carrie, her girls, and my brother Sutton all home. We've had lots of family time. We went to Chuckie E. Cheese, Zilker Park and we rode the train, and spent a lot of fun time playing at Mimi and Boompa's house.

Mommy really can't wait for summer so we can play together all day everyday! I can't wait to be with Mommy and play at home too! This week while outside at my parents house we discovered Corbin loves being outside...the only hard part is he can't walk yet and he wants to crawl everywhere. We will get there soon enough. He took three steps by himself a few times between my sister and I.

Words and Walking??

Lately Corbin has learned a lot of new words... "ball" being the favorite. The other morning when I got up for work at 5, Corbin got up and said "ball" the first thing! This morning he found some bubbles I had on a shelf and we were playing with them. I said "bubbles" and then I would pop them and say "pop." Well our little guy picked up the word "bubble" after I said it a few times.
Corbin also says "thank you." It is so fun to hear his little voice as he learns new words!

On the walking front...Corbin still isn't walking. But according to our pediatrician the average is 13-15 months. On Monday night as Jason and I were making dinner we notice Corbin was standing all by himself. He has learned to balance his weight on his feet. Then on Thursday afternoon when I picked Corby up from school he took two steps towards the daycare director. He still isn't that confident yet. Jason and I feel like it won't be long until we are chasing after him.

We are also trying a lot of new foods and get Corbin to possible be something other than the 5th percentile for weight. The other night I was eating a Boca burger and gave some to Corbin, well he wolfed it down. Then Friday night at Red Robin we ordered Corbin a Boca burger and I snuck some of my real hamburger , he didn't like it at all. E-ma, Jason's mom is proud, because she a vegetarian. Corbin also loves green olives and Mommy's zucchini bread.

Corbin's 12-month well-check

Corbin went to the doctor for his 12 month well-check finally. Our pediatrician wanted Corbin to be totally well and have no ear infection etc. before he had his well-check. Corbin's 12 month stats are he is 19 lbs 5 ounces, he is in the 5th percentile for weight. Jason and I knew we would have a super skinny kid and we were right! He is 29 inches long and in the 25th percentile for height. His head circumference is 46.6 cm and he is in the 50-75 percentile for his head circumference.

Well unfortunately for our little guy he still has fluid in one of his ears and he is on yet another antibiotic for an ear infection. We have to go back to the peditrician next week to see if it finally cleared up! We are hoping he is all ok! I had a lot of ear infections when I was little and I had to have ear tubes put in. I hope that will not be Corbin's case. I asked Dr. Ailleo if we should be refereed to an ENT and he said that we are coming into spring and ear infections season will be over. So we could discuss it if he is having problems winter.
