20 WEEKS!!!!

20 week "Dah" picture (Corbin calls "tummy's "dahs" for some reason.) We have been talking a lot about his little brother in my "dah"! (I purposely didn't put my head in the picture
because my hair was wet.)

How far along? 20 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: up 10 lbs. Wish it was all belly but I have gained some weight in my thighs and booty :( I am really trying to not get as big as I was with Corbin. My goal is to just gain 30 lbs. I also have been getting super full after lunch and not wanting to eat much the rest of the day and I am not even eating that much. I don't know what my deal is! My doctor says my weight gain is good so far.
Maternity clothes? REALLY am not wanting to start wearing them when I got back to work in three weeks time. I have been getting by in dresses ALL summer!
Sleep: Not great... I have been having WEIRD DREAMS!!! (one consisted of me dating one of the Backstreet boys!) add to that thethree or four times I have to get up to pee and then sometimes I can't go back to sleep!
Best moment this week: well last week finding out we're having a BOY!
Movement: WOW this little guy moves SOOO much! Dr. Kuhlmann said he is breech and OH MAN DO I KNOW IT! He loves to kick me in the bladder! Fun stuff! He has been moving around since like 15 weeks! He is a lot more active then his brother was inutero!
Food cravings: fruit.
Gender: A sweet BOY!
Labor Signs: not this week thank goodness! I had contractions at 17 weeks... wasn't drinking enough water I think.
Belly Button in or out? Flat and squishy
What I miss: missing my non pregnancy body.
What I am looking forward to: holding our sweet little boy! ;) and for Corbin to meet his little brother!
Weekly Wisdom: Cherish this time with Corbin! I will have to be back at work before I know it! I love being home with my baby! :)
Milestones: made it to 20 weeks! Half way there! Grow strong baby boy!


Jason and I have decided we are going to name our son Grayson James. Grayson is a name that we just liked.... well I had to kinda talk Jason into the name because he thought it sounded a lot like Jason. But I think we are going to nickname him "Gray." His middle name has two meanings. Jason's father's name is James. Also my grandfather, who passed away in February, name was James.

We love you so much already Grayson! Daddy and I love feeling you kick around all the time.

Brushing his "tee!" Corbin loves brushing his teeth and reminds me that he needs them brushed after every meal/snack etc.

Really tired after swimming lessons last night. Ready for bed!

Corbin has really started to form attachments to his lovies and blankets that he sleeps with. Jason and I were wondering when he was going to fall in love with blankets. Jason and I are very tactile people and of course we both had blankets growing up.

Corbin has three lovies... monkey, lamb, and bear. They are these little lovie blankets with animal heads on them. They are super soft. I actually got the blue lamb, pink lamb (Corbin doesn't have that one) and the bear at a children's store I worked at in college. I liked how soft they were and so I got one for Jason and I. We got the monkey from a lady who got it for Corbin. My sister Merritt and I had her boys, Garrett and Trent, who Merritt still babysits for, in Mother's Day Out when we worked at West Austin Youth Association.

He sleeps with all three loveis and for the past few weeks when he wakes up he has to give me all three and his blanket. He cuddles with them when coming downstairs. He then usually wants breakfast and we don't really mess with the lovies/blanket until nap time. Until today, he has been carrying "monkey" around for most of the day. He also likes to take "monkey" with him in the car and he shoves him to the side in between his leg and the car seat! I think "monkey" is becoming a favorite out of the three. Then we have to do the whole routine again when he wakes up from his nap and gives me his "possy".

I think I am going to have get three more lovies when we have to go back to daycare. The good news is the company that makes these lovies has a pillow with an animal head on it and a big nap blanket with a head on it too. I think we may have to get the monkey nap blanket and pillow because he is definitely the softest!

Take a Picture!!!

Oh NO we have a climber! Yesterday while home with Corbin he climbed up on our dining room chair. The next thing I knew he had climbed on the table! I had to take a picture with my phone and email it to Jason! Well this morning he decided it would be fun to play with this Chinese tea set we have on the table! I have moved one of the chairs... but he climbed up again!
Ok, I just moved ALL the chairs...lets see how long it lasts!

UPDATE: Since moving the chairs 5 minutes ago... he climbed the stroller we have sitting out and he climbed on the table again! OH GEEZ this kid is determined!

Boy, Oh Boy!

Yesterday afternoon we had our ultrasound! Dr. Kuhlmann said "lets look at something important." He points and says "What do you think it is?!?! Jason and I immediately said "BOY"!!! "We've seen that before!" There was no mistaking it! Haha he wasn't shy about it all hanging out!

We can't wait to meet our sweet little baby boy!! I think it is going to be wonderful for Corbin to have a little brother! We can't wait to meet you in early December, baby!

Hair: compliments of syrup and more randomness

This morning when Corbin woke up his hair was sticking up! I guess he wanted more volume because he thought his waffle syrup was a good hair gel!

Corbin and I have been hanging out out my Mom's house a lot. I have been having some issues this pregnancy and I ended up fainting! Scary stuff! I think my Mom and sister Carrie are convinced I may have to go on bed rest! I hope that's not the case!

Corbin has a new found love of CARS!!! My mom bought Corbin this garage and he LOVES IT! He was so cute making the cars go down and making his car noises.

Last week Corbin started saying Kylie, our dogs, name. He calls her "Wylie!" Which we think is a perfect name for our Kylie! (Oh yes and Corbin also loves wearing hats! He discovered my dads quite extensive hat collection while at Mimi's the other day! So every time he wants to wear a hat he pats his head!)

P.S. Monday is the day we get to find out the sex of our little peanut! We can't wait to find out if Corbin is going to have a baby sister or brother! I am excited because we go to find at 19 weeks with Corbin and we get to do the same with this baby!

Enjoying his first Jamba Juice!

Corbin never ceases to amaze us everyday! Just a few minutes ago, I told Corbin we needed to change his diaper. I was in the kitchen getting a glass of water before I changed him and I looked over and our sweet boy was laying on the changing mat all ready to go!

Its amazing to me what he understands and how much he knows. For example... I have Corbin sit down every time he eat something. I say "Sit down." Well he now says "sit down" as well as parks himself on the floor/carpet/stairs/ booster seat in order to eat something. All last week at my mom's house if someone had a Popsicle or when we made cookies he would go over to the stairs and say "sit down" and "thank you" to get what he wanted. Yesterday he wanted to put his shoes on so I always say "help, please " when he needs help with something. Well yesterday I paired it with signing and after I showed him "please" once he singed it back to me! I am so proud of our little guy!

On the diaper front... we LOVE the gdiapers! Its amazing since he has worn the gdiapers he hasn't had ANY eczema flare ups! Although he has some right now because he was battling a mysterious case of diarrhea for a few days and I have been using Pampers for the ease of clean up sake! I took him to the doctor today and the doctor attributed it to possibly some juices he had while his nieces were in town. I usually don't give him juice (too much unnecessary sugar) - just milk and water, but I gave him orange juice once. So its back to just water and milk... well we are going to try soy milk tonight because the doctor also said that the milk sugar isn't good for him right now while he's having GI problems.
