Grayson's Four Month appointment

* So cute! Corbin just came up to me while writing this with all his cars from the "Cars" movie and said "Mommy, king, chick hicks, lighting mcqueen, O-day (Corbin's word for birthday) so we just sang "happy birthday" to his cars! He also came in our bed at 6:15 this morning and sang "Ring around the Rosie" to Grayson! I love cuddling in our bed on the weekend with our boys! My sisters and I used to do this with our parents when we were little! I have great memories of having family time just talking and cuddling on Saturday mornings with my parents!

Yesterday I took Grayson to his four month appointment. Our little guy is doing very well! His stats are 14 lbs 11 oz and the 50th percentile for weight. His height is 24 1/2 and he is the 25-50th percentile for height. Its been nice this week because Jason and I have each gotten to spend one on one time with our each of our boys! Yesterday, Grayson and I went ot the appointment by ourselves! On Tuesday I had to take Corbin to the ENT for a check up on his ear tubes and I didn't want to take Grayson. Sometimes they have to do an hearing test and put us in a sound booth and we have to keep Corbin in our lap and he gets REALLY upset and hates to sit there. Luckily we didn't have to go do a hearing test and it looks like Corbin's ear tubes are basically working their way out of his ears but no ear infections yet! Fingers crossed!

I forgot to bring the diaper bag (I left it with Grayson at daycare) and of course Corbin had a poop! Lets just say I was so glad he was wearing his gdiaper from daycare!! I had to stuff the liner with paper towels and threw away the dirty liner in a doctors glove and put it in the hazardous materials bin! Haha I had to get creative and I have to say Corbin didn't leak!


Grayson finally slept in his crib for three hours yesterday at daycare!!!! Yay Grayson!

Spring Break 2010

Decorating sugar cookies! Yes they are dress cookies but when you have 3 girl cousins that's to be expected! BTW Corbin couldn't care that they were dresses he thought they tasted great!

I have great memories of making and decorating sugar cookies with my mom. She was so great about doing those things with us and I fully intend to that with my boys, and any other children we may have!

Boompa was holding Morgan and Corbin got jealous and made my Dad pick him up too!

He smiles ALL the time and just started giggling this week! Grayson sleeps almost through out the night and will only wake up once or twice! I woke up several times last night and he was quietly sucking his thumb! Grayson has also been sleeping his pack and play by himself for naptime! GO Grayson!!!!! BTW Corbin NEVER did this without crying for hours on end!

Spring break was mostly spent relaxing and being at my Mom's house. We all got to sleep in too which I LOVED! Corbin has really enjoyed playing with my sister Carrie and her girls! Every morning when he wakes up he asks his cousin Reese! Its really cute! I don't know what he is going to do when they leave! Morgan, my niece she's 8 months younger than Corbin, is totally attached to my mom and calls her "Meme." We are really going to miss my sister and her girls! I am trying to convince them to move down here! But alas I don't think that will ever happen.

Tomorrow is my 29th birthday (EEK my last year in my 20's, scary!) and I took the day off to spend it with my family. My sister is leaving with her girls on Tuesday and I wanted to spend the day with my family and my boys! I told daycare that the boys would be gone all of spring break and the Monday after b/c it was my birthday and I wanted to spend it with them and one of the teachers was like "why don't you bring them and have the day to yourself?" I told her that I wanted to spend my birthday with my boys! They are what make me so excited to wake up each day! Haha I have my whole life to have "me" time once the boys are older they obviously won't need me as much and I love the time I have with them now. (I do need to have "me" time and use that massage gift certificate that my sister Merritt gave me for my birthday last year! I've just been busy either pregnant or chasing/taking care of kids.)

The day has come

Yesterday while at my parents house I tried to put Corbin down for a nap. I put him in my sister Merritt's room and left him there to cry. Well about 20 minutes later I heard him at the top of the stairs. Corbin finally learned how to open doors! Much to my dismay! I knew he would learn eventually. I then tried to put him in my sister, Wynter's room. Yep he got out of there too. So then I tried to take him for a drive for like 20 minutes he fell asleep quickly but woke up when I tried to put him down on Merritt's bed once we got home. My mom and sister Carrie were like he is having such a great time playing with his cousins and he isn't acting bad why not just let him stay up and play. So charged by his catnap of 15 minutes Corbin played all afternoon with Payton and Reese! BTW Corbin is obessed with his four year old cousin Reese! She is so sweet to him and they love playing together. When Corbin woke up yesterday he was asking for "Reese!" We finally left my parents at 8 pm last night and Corbin crashed not even 5 minutes from my parents house! He rarely gets to see my sister and her girls so I guess I will be making nap exceptions this week and he is not acting cranky at all either. Payton is almost 7 and Carrie told me once you have kids that are older its really hard to get your younger kids to nap on a consistent routine once your older kids have things they have to go to.

Fast forward to this morning, I got out of the shower and heard Grayson crying so I went to pick him up and also heard another voice under our bedroom door! Corbin had opened his bedroom door! This weekend I guess we will be shopping for a safety door latch or something.

In other exciting news in the Ziaja household Grayson is basically rolling over from back to tummy but his sucking his thumb his preventing his top half from rolling over. He has his lower back and torso to the floor! Yay Grayson! :)

A few of my favorite things!

First of please excuse my lack of blogging! Work has gotten the better of me and I stay until almost 5:45 everyday and do NOT turn my computer on once I get home! I am so happy to be on Spring Break!

1) Grayson- Of course my children are my favorite things but the past two mornings blessed by spring break and getting to sleep in, Grayson has been SO CUTE! He wakes up and starts chatting and cooing and talking a lot! It is so cute!

Grayson has also taken up sucking his thumb and it is so adorable! Grayson is also the happiest baby! He smiles ALL the time! :) He is growing like a weed! He is currently in a size 2 diaper and growing out of his 3 month clothes and he is graduating to 6 months clothes.

2) Corbin saying "go go ___(insert some word)". He does it when he is really excited about something! Jason taught it to him! Complete with pumping one of his fists/arms in the air! For example we were going to my parents house the other day and he started saying "go go Baba" (thats what he calls my brother Brenton!")

3) Pop Chips- They are so yummy and half the fat of potato chips! Jason and I LOVE the salt and cracked pepper! YUM!

4) Vanilla milk-I bought Corbin a 8 oz Horizon Vanilla milk yesterday at the store and it is SO good! Corbin loves it too!

Ok off to go play with my kids! Yay I cannot wait my sister is coming in town tonight with her girls!

McFatty Monday week 8

I lost another pound this week! WOO HOO! I am four pounds from my goal weight! Lets see if I can keep this up over spring break! (I seriously doubt it!) My birthday is the 22nd and I don't think I can lost the rest of the weight before then but at least I can fit into a lot of my prepregnancy clothes! I still can't wear my favorite jeans I cannot button them and all the loose baby skin has created a fabulous muffin top!:( ick!

McFatty Monday week 7

I lost another pound this week! Yay! I am 5 lbs from my goal weight of 102 lbs! I don't know if I will make it to my ultimate goal of losing all that weight by my 29th birthday! Random fact: I am not at my prepregnancy weight with Corbin.
