Changing of the Guards!

Can you believe these are pajamas from Buckingham Palace?! SUPER CUTE! My parents wanted to get some in Grayson's size but this was the smallest size! Love the hat! :)

BAD picture... he kept moving and was a bit hot in these pajamas! He looks adorable!

My parents and Sutton, my 16 year old brother, just got back today from being gone for almost three weeks on a European cruise. My parents and brother got to go to Ireland, Scotland, and went to England and a ton of other places. Sutton, or "Tutton" as Grayson calls him, said it was the best trip hes every been on.

My parents got to go to Buckingham Palace, which apparently is only open to the public in July. They got to see a replica of Princess Kate's dress and a replica of the wedding cake! So cool! :)

40 years

Congratulations to my parents who have been married 40 years ago today!

I can only hope that when Jason and I get to 40 years we are just as lovey dovey in love as my parents are! My Dad still says "Oh isn't your mom so cute?" when we are in the car and she comes out to the car! Its way cute!

Happy 40th anniversary Mom and Dad! We all love you so much!

Helping Mommy feed Kylie the other night. Grayson was SOO proud of himself and even said "cheese" as I took this picture! :) He had a huge smile on his face and he also was feeding Kylie a few pieces of her dog food at a time! She is so patient with him! He helped feed her again last night and he ended up spilling half the food all over the floor, but I just laughed because it was so cute! He then would stop and pick up the food and put it back in Kylie's bowl! :)

Yesterday was an amazing day (even with our CR-V's AC not working again)! We were coming home from Corbin's sleep study appointment and Grayson said something for the first time that makes every parent giddy and want to cry all at the same time! All the sudden he said "Mommy, Aaaayooo, Daddy, Aaaayooo." I quickly realized he was saying "LOVE YOU!" I even got it on video! :) Love it!

As for the CR-V the AC has broken a total of 3 times now. We got it fixed twice, once when I was pregnant with Grayson and then it died again a year and a half later, after the warranty was expired. After the second time it went out we didn't want to get it fixed again so poor Jason has been riding around without air conditioning for a few months now. Well Wednesday he told me that the car was sounding really weird and when he showed my brother and I it sounded awful and then it smelled really bad, like burned rubber! So Jason decided we had to take it in. Jason's brother-in-law, Ryan, ended up working his lawyer magic and getting them to fix it at COST (Ryan has taken his car to this place for a long time)! Apparently the AC going out on a 2004 CRV is a quite common problem! I honestly do not like this car at all! It just has to last us a few more years! With a new house we cannot really afford a new car as well. So hopefully by the time we want a third child we will be able to get a new car.

Its about to get CRAZY!

Yesterday was the last day of the option period! Jason and I went to see the mortgage broker Friday afternoon and signed a bunch of papers to get everything rolling for closing.

By the way I might add that Jason's Dad took both the boys Thursday night so we could go to the mortgage office Friday and so I was kid less most of Friday and let me tell you it was totally weird! Nice but quiet! I missed our boys like crazy! Jason and I went to on a date to Chuy's and had an amazing time! :)They had fun with Poppa and Granna and went to the Mayborne museum in Waco, which looks awesome by the way and we need to take the boys there after this craziness of moving wares off!

Speaking of closing, we are closing, if all goes well, on August 12th. The owners asked us if they could lease the house for 5 extra days beyond closing so they can find somewhere to live and move out, which we agreed to. I go back to work August 15, well technically the week before that so I can do pre-k registration. We are probably moving in the weekend before school starts, August 20th. Oh geez, MacKenzie, don't panic! The day before the inspection I literally only slept 3 hours and that's with taking 12 mg of Melatonin. I was a nervous wreck and couldn't sleep at all! I am going to try super hard not to panic, because I was telling Jason yesterday from all the blogs I read and major challenges some people face this is a tiny blip in our lives. This is nothing compared to what people who have everyday challenges face. We are fortunate to have a healthy family. That's all I can ask for! Besides I need to realize I don't have to have everything organized completely when we move in! So we may be living out of boxes for 6 months if it takes that long for me to get back into the swing of work and be able to spend time with my family, who cares that our whole house in still in boxes! Spending time as a family is much more important to me than a few boxes!

Our hillarious kid decided he needed a Star Wars room! So what did we do this weekend? We went and bought this bedding (Well just the quilt and the tie fighter sham):

We are now regretting showing him this picture from Pottery Barn Kids, because now he thinks this is his new exact room! He keeps saying he gets the top bunk and Gray gets the bottom one! OH DEAR! (This bed is PRICEY! Trust me I looked!) He likes that shelf at the top and wants "FREAKY-O (his name for C3PO) on that little shelf just like in the picture! I keep asking him if he really wants Grayson to share a room with him and we keep getting different answers sometimes yes and then no.

I also regretted going to the mall with Corbin yesterday as he was awful and had to go to timeout in the middle of the mall! He was throwing a huge tantrum because he wanted a cookie and we hadn't even eaten lunch! We should have just left!

Our new house has 4 bedrooms so they boys can each have their own. We were going to make Grayson have a sports room because he loves Basketball! We are going to wait on his bedding for awhile because we are going to make his crib a toddler bed for while at our new house. We really rushed Corbin out of his crib and into a big boy bed because Grayson was coming. I told Jason yesterday when Grayson turned 2o months that I can't really even remember this time with Corbin! It was such a blur! When Corbin was this age we almost had a newborn! What were we thinking!? No, I kid because I wouldn't change having our sweet Gray for anything!

BTW Grayson LOVES suckers! He has tasted the sweet poison and will not go back! (We give Corbin suckers when he goes pee.) Mommy may have accidentally slammed Grayson's finger in the car door the other night,he was farting around and kept trying to get in the car for something and I had my hands full and then he ran back right as I was closing the door. I swear it was like slow motion. I FELT like the worst Mommy in the world! Anyways while we were putting an ice pack on his finger we got him a sucker to suck on so we could distract him from the ice pack, he hates them, and he was in heaven with that sucker. Now whenever Corbin gets one Grayson screams, "GUCKER!" This morning Corbin got one for himself after he went to the bathroom and Grayson ran the the closet with the suckers screaming "GUCKER! and ran as fast as he could! It was hillarious!

Home inspection

I can't wait to relax on this amazing back patio/porch and watch our sons play on their playscape! Corbin is so excited to get a "playskate!"

Yesterday we had our home inspection for the new house! We were so happy to hear from the inspector that the house is as good as new! (It was built on 2006.)

Sleep Study appointment

Last Thursday we went to our sleep study appointment for Corbin. I walked out of there feeling kinda like a failure as a parent! The doctor asked about our night time routine and we told him we do a bath (every other night), books, snuggles and then say goodnight. He said Corbin should be getting 12-14 hours of sleep a day including a nap.At this point he was only getting 9-10 hours of sleep. The doctor said many of the "ADHD" symptoms Corbin is displaying could all just be a total lack of sleep! This is because when kids are super tired they get more and more hyper! We are tweaking bedtime and the specialist said we need to try naps again. Nap time is somewhat of a success, he is sleeping for about a hour in his room, (I had to use a baby lock on his closet so he can go to sleep and not read books.) I get an hour where both the boys are asleep so I can fold laundry or just have a minute to myself.

He told us that we should not read books in his bed with him. He said we should sit in a chair which is hard right now given our living situation. He said we should no longer allow Corbin to come into our room in the middle of the night and sleep in his Lighting McQueen fold out bed.

The doctor asked us if we would be opposed to trying Melatonin. At this point we will try anything! The first night we gave it to him he was asleep in 10 minutes! He told us when he came in the next morning that he had a good nights sleep! We were so excited to hear that!!

The doctor also check for signs of having Apnea. Small airways, tonsils being enlarged. Corbin's airway wasn't too bad! However he checked Jason's because when Dr. Owens described Apnea to us a few weeks ago, Jason was like "I have that!" When the doctor checked in Jason's throat he said his airway was very small. Jason's mom said she thinks she has it too. If they both sleep on their backs they kinda wake up gasping for air. SCARY!

We are going back next week to see if we need to do a sleep study or if this is all just manipulating Mommy and Daddy into not going to bed. I think he is manipulating his Mommy and Daddy if you ask me!

Grayson

Grayson is so silly these days! :) He makes us laugh constantly. He tries to talk all the time but we can only understand two or three words. The other day we were watching Dinosaur Train and Grayson said "All abort" (All Aboard)! It was so cute!

We also do this song at night time when its time to get jammies on its to the tune of MC Hammers "Hammer Time" except we say "Jammie time" instead of "can't touch this." Grayson sings the whole tune and says Jammie time.

He is very attached to Jason and I and if I walk out of the room I hear "Mama" constantly until I come back.
