Kids say the darndest things!

The boys are at it again, saying silly things all the time! The joys of being parents! They definitely make my day brighter if I've had a bad day at school!

*Grayson loves to spot "icky Mouse" aka Mickey Mouse, when we are out at places like Target!
*One day when the boys were sick on the way home from the doctor I stopped at Terra Burger and got them a kids burger and skim milk. Now, we drink exclusively almond milk at our house for the past year and a half. So when Corbin took a big drink he asked me why there was water in his milk!
*One day when we were at Jason's dads house we had them watch the boys while we ran errands. We came back for dinner and Tori showed me a dry erase board where Corbin had written Tori's name all by himself with only her telling him the letters of her name. Apparently Corbin can write his name on his own too! This was news to me! Oh, the life of a working Momma!

*Corbin's class was learning all about families and one week while they were learning about "how families help each other." We discussed it at home and ways we can all help out at home. Helping Mommy bake, emptying the dishwasher etc. Well one day I ran to get the mail from the car I had already told Corbin he couldn't help because he had taken his shoes and socks off on the trek home. I hear him start screaming and crying "Families aren't MEAN to each other, they HELP each other!"

* Grayson has a few cute words his mispronounces "goss" for Gross, got him on video saying "elebator" (elevator) while playing with a bulldozer. He asks "Where are we?" "Where we going" if we are going somewhere. He asks like 20 times all the way to school everyday!

* Grayson loves looking for the "landmarks" to show we are almost home. He loves looking at the boat and jet skis and screams "jet skis" every time we pass on the way off Anderson Mill Rd. Then once we get by Cedar Park High school we are really almost home and there is the Cedar Park Tower and he screams "Tower ommm!"(home)

*This morning Corbin was so excited because we got to go together just Mommy and Corbin because poor Grayson was sick! (Wouldn't you know he has his two year doctor appointment today and cannot get his vaccines because hes sick!) Corbin kept saying "Just Mommy and Corbin today!" We even got to get a special treat at Starbucks! :)

* Grayson and Corbin love the Power Rangers thanks to these toys that Grayson got for his birthday! We have watched a few grueling episodes with horrid acting! Grayson loves it and says "GO RANGERS!" when he's watching it! :)
* UPDATE: On the way to school this morning Feliz Navidad came on the radio and Corbin asked me "Mommy why are they signing that the Mommy is hot?!"

Thankful Thursday- Grayson James

Happy 2nd birthday to our sweet Grayson James! :) We celebrated his birthday a day early since today is Thanksgiving. All my siblings are here and the boys have loved playing with their cousins. We went to Inflatable Wonderland in Lakeline Mall yesterday but Grayson didn't enjoy it! We went to one by our old house and he went up a 20 ft slide with me multiple times! He just didn't go in the jumpy things. He preferred playing in the 18 months and younger play area with a tiny plastic playscape with the slide. Morgan my 3 year old niece (she didn't like the inflatables either!) and Grayson just played in there.

We had a great birthday! We are so thankful for our sweet boy! We love you!

6 years

November is by far my favorite month! (NO CLUE why this is all underlined! I can't get it off!)

So much happens in this month for our family. We have a million birthdays including Jason and Grayson, and our anniversary, Thanksgiving, time with family.

Our 6 year anniversary was on Saturday! We got to sleep in because the boys slept over at the in-laws house. Yes it was only until 7:30 because I guess I cannot sleep in anymore! I wasn't feeling well so we staying in and watched Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! Love that movie!

We had a great day of just being together! Its been so nice to reconnect with my hubs when work, life, and kids seem to get the better of you some days!

We ended the evening with going to one of our favorites, Flemings and ate, drank a ton, OMG their blueberry lemon drop, and talked a lot! I LOVE their lemon drop but I had to stop at one because I never drink so I knew it wouldn't end well if I stopped there!

Love you Jason, I hope we can have another 6 years and another two kids! JK. I think I may be lucky enough to get a 3rd child in the next few years once Corbin is out of daycare! Oh the daycare expenses!

Jason's 30th

Last Wednesday Jason and I took off so we could spend his 30th birthday together! We had a wonderful day without kids and went on an eating extravaganza! We out to breakfast (Magnolia), lunch (Mikado for sushi), and dinner at our favorite Z'Tejas!

We got to test out his new birthday present! Our house was already wired for surround system in our game room, and we watched a movie together! Its very nice! :)

I hope you had a great birthday baby! You got a great new wardrobe and I think we both gained a few from our day-o-eating!

Aunt Tori

Corbin spent the night and went to the UT game with my inlaws last Saturday. We went over and Tori, sis-in-law showed me a picture Corbin drew. He drew a picture a picutre of them and Tori said she told him how to spell her name and he wrote it perfectly! This Mommy was shocked! :) Jason told me Corbin can write his own name by himself almost accurately too!

Banana

Boys, boys, boys! Our silly boys! I have a running list of the funny things they've done the past few weeks!

- Last Friday night we went to dinner with Jason's manager and his family at Brooklyn Heights pizza. I had just gotten done taken Corbin to the bathroom and then he had to go again! It was Daddy's turn and he is so used to turning around to give Corbin his privacy that when he turned back around Corbin was trying to poop in the urinal!!! OMG wish I had been there! Hillarious!

- After my haircut on Saturday I needed a new blow dryer and per recommendation of my hair stylists I went to get a much cheaper blow dryer, that I love, then the $200 one I was going to buy! On the way there Grayson starts saying "Banana, shh!" Of course we were confused and then finally figured it out when we got to Sally's beauty supply that he was talking about the crescent moon and he thought it looked like a Banana!!!!

- When we got to Sally's Corbin found a large hoop earring on the floor and so we took it to the front counter. Corbin was very concerned and was looking at the lady at the checkout counter to make sure it wasn't hers. While we were checking out the lady that lost the earring called to see if they found it. Corbin was very excited that he had helped find the earring!

- After bath the other night Grayson was being super hyper and kicking Jason while getting him in his p.j.'s. We told him he was going to bed early for kicking Jason. He climbed in our bed and proudly said "B" which we think means movie because then he said "Thomas!" He wanted to watch Thomas. He went to bed instead of watching Thomas!

Ear infections X2

Our poor boys BOTH had ear infections this week! On Sunday Jason and I noticed Grayson kept poking his right ear and we thought that was odd. He wasn't really fussy or crying. Corbin went to sleep over at the in-laws and Grayson woke up at 9pm crying. Totally not like him. We put him in a pack and play in our room for the night. His temperature was elevated slightly 100 degrees. So Jason said he would take him to the doctor and stay with him because I had parent teacher conferences. Turns out he his right ear drum had ruptured! :( So sad! He must have a VERY high pain tolerance because he barely made it known that he had an ear infection in the first place. He did have some cold symptoms as did Corbin.

Yesterday while getting my students through the lunchline, the daycare called and said Corbin was crying and upset because he said his right ear hurt! Jason had to come to my school to pick up keys to switch the carseat and one of my students asked if he was my dad! Hillarious! Jason and Corbin went to Chick fil a and headed to the doctors. Corbin had a double ear infection! He hasn't had one since we got ear tubes in at 13 months right after I found out I was pregnant with Grayson. Even though the tubes only stayed in for less than a year it helped him not get anymore dreaded infections.

I seriously think I jinxed myself yesterday though. I told Jason yesterday morning that I hadn't had to stay home or take a day off yet for sick kids. It was nice to be able to sleep in 2 hours later and be with our babies all day!

Play dough!


The boys and I stayed home today and made homemade play dough and I already have dinner made for tonight! Yay! I feel like super mom! Now I wish I could really be a super mom to finalize the rest of the crap in this house! We've made progress but still no curtains are up and we still have boxes in our study and the third bedroom. We have loads of things in our empty dinning room waiting to be taken to goodwill. Oh well! Spending time as a family right now is more important to me. My sister told me she would have already had it all put away! My mom and my sister are very motivated and won't sleep until its done! I am like that to an extent I get bursts of motivation but not on the weekdays. My sister and my mom are stay at home moms and may have more time then I do. I just cannot do it with commuting an 45 minutes to an hour depending on the time I leave work. I am to exhausted!
