An important big boy moment!

This morning after religiously sitting on the potty every morning this week Corbin finally peed in the potty! Every morning before we go to school Corbin has been watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney channel (that show is totally annoying but I love the way Corbin says Mickey Mouse!) Almost every time we watch that show a pull-ups commerical comes on with a kid who is about three and he says "Uh Oh I gotta go potty." Then he does his business and says "I did it!" Corbin thinks this is great and we have talked A LOT about that commerical and how he went pee pee and that Corbin can do it too!

He had sat on the toilet for about an hour before anything happened. He peed five minutes after I gave him some water! He was so cute "Mommy, I did it!!!" I was so excited I screamed and ran upstairs to tell Jason! Corbin got a special treat; m&ms.

We went out and bought Cars underwear and some cute other ones from Carters that have dump trucks and other fun boy things!

We are so happy that Corbin finally knows what your supposed to do. He keeps wanting to poop in the potty but its always after he has just gone in his diaper. Oh well! We will continue to work on it!

"Rock your body"- 6 months!

Grayson turned 6 months yesterday! I cannot believe our sweet baby is 6 months already! He LOVES eating rice cereal and peas are his favorite veggie! He is sitting on his own without support for over 3-4 minutes at a time! He is just starting to get on all fours but he keeps chewing on his hands and he only gets up on his knees more often than not.

Today we went to Grayson's 6 month doctor appointment. Grayson weighs 17 lbs 2 oz and was 25 inches and something inches long (the paper is downstairs and I don't want to go get it right now.) Dr. Owens looked at his ears and Jason and I heard the dreaded news. He has an ear infection! :( He is on amoxicilian and Dr. Owens said that given our family history (I had ear tubes, Corbin had ear tubes, which we went to Dr. Scholl's last week, and Corbin's tubes had to be taken out from both ears because they were floating in his ear canals! So lets pray we don't have any more problems and have to be reinserted!) that if Grayson gets 2 or 3 more she would direct us to Dr. Scholl's!

On the way home Corbin started saying "Oh oh oh OH OH OHH OHHH" and I couldn't figure out what he was doing! Then it dawned on me that he was singing the Black Eyed Peas song "Rock Your Body!" He then once I downloaded it from itunes kept singing "rock your body!" So cute! Jason and I loved it! We took video and I need to upload it! He wasn't really singing in the video! It seems like once you turn that camera on sometimes your child just is like "ok I am done performing for you now!"

Corbin is in LOVE with Pandas right now. We watched The Amazing Panda Adventure on Netflix instant watch the other day and he LOVED it! He was kinda traumatized at the beginning when a Mommy Panda gets trapped in cage but she is ok in the end. He looked a little shocked and Jason and I wondered if we were traumatizing him! He even told us "Mommy, Daddy I scared!" I then asked him the next day if he wanted to watch it and he told me "I scared!" He started playing but then HAD to watch the movie again! I bought him a book called Bears! Bears! Bears! By Bob Barner its a cute short story about bears that you normal aren't familiar with around the world. He LOVES the panda page of course the best!

Happy Mother's Day!

So for Mother's Day, we decided that it was finally time to take the boys to a local photography studio and get their pictures together. Little did we realize just how frickin' cute these pictures would turn out :) We may have to make this an annual Mother's Day event!







I took a few of these photos to my work, and I think that about half my day is spent just staring at them...

Grayson is 5 months! :)

Our sweet boy is five months today! I cannot believe it! I feels like I just had him! ;) On Thursday I got a call from his school and they said he had a low grade fever 100.1. I left work early and they said that licencing doesn't require me to pick him up until it was 100.4. By the time I got there though it was 100.4. I attribute his fever to teething because it never got any higher than 100.5. I went to Buybuy baby and picked him up a bunch of teething toys like Sophie the giraffe, which he loves! He spent the day with my Mom on Friday and he had a good time just hanging out with Mimi! :)

We went to dinner at Kona grill on Friday with my parents and then we went to get yogurt at Orange cup. Corbin LOVED the fountain outside Orange cup. He at first was timid about getting wet then he went full out. He was drenched by the time we left and I didn't have ANY diapers for him. He wore one of Grayson's size 2 diapers home! Amazingly my 5 month old and 2 year old are the same width around! I was shocked the diaper basically fit him!

Wearing the shirt he made for Earth Day with his class!:) I washed it today and it is SO tiny now! His teachers bought the shirts and its a 2T/3T and its tiny! Beware of Fruit of the loom shirts for toddlers- they shrink really bad!
A testament of brotherly love on the way back to my Mom and Dad's house- Grayson was hungry and so Corbin was trying to make him feel better by soothing him and holding his hand!

Update- 4/25/10 "OhguwayZiaja" watching a movie yesterday. Our son calls himself "OhguwayZiaja" all the time! He doesn't just say "Ohguway" he has to add "OhguwayZiaja!" I told my parents and sisters about how Corbin calls himself "ohguwayZiaja" and they think its hilarious! I had all my siblings and parents call me yesterday asking how "OhguwayZiaja was !" I still wonder what goes on in his mind that he thought "Ohguway" was anywhere close to CORBIN! We were at Target yesterday getting more socks and he was like "OhguwayZiaja's socks!"

Corbin has had quite the 'tude lately! He has started to say "walk away" (with an attitude) to Jason and I if he doesn't want us to be helping him. I kept telling him that isn't nice to say. So the other day I finally asked his teacher at school if he had learned that there. She said that they have "given the children the words when they are uncomfortable or being bothered by someone in their class." I just don't like how he does it with such an attitude! :( Oh well I will have to keep telling him that we only say that when we are being bothered or are hurt!

Jason and I decided to buy a Flipvideo camera to have a camera on hand at all times to be able to take video of the boys all the time. Our other video camera wasn't charged all the time and we hadn't been using it. and got it the other day! It is great! :) Its about the size of a small camera and it is great and portable! I will have to experiment and upload some video on here!

In other news I can announce now, I hope Jessica and Ryan don't care- but Corbin and Grayson are going to have another niece or nephew on/or around November 3rd! Jason's younger sister is having her first child! :) She is in her second year of medical school. She is a brave lady to have a baby while in medical school!

Note: Yes, yes this post is 5 days late! But oh well at least I did it!

Last year on April 15th I found out I was pregnant with Grayson right before I left for work. I was in shock pretty much the whole day! Now we have an amazingly sweet almost 5 month old who smiles all the time!! We love you so much Grayson! :)

Silly boys and first cereal!

Update: Grayson is doing pretty well with the cereal He likes rice cereal with apples! :) Corbin also did something really funny when I was going out to get my friend a present for a lingerie shower. We were headed over to Jason's Dad's house so they could watch the boys while I got Kathleen a present On the way there Corbin dropped his car in his new car seats cup holder and he said "oh shit!" very nonchalantly! Jason and I couldn't help but crack up! I know, I know bad parents! We did tell him that he shouldn't say that. Oh two year olds! :) Jason's dad told me he did something similar when Jason was younger and Jason's dad had road rage and Jason repeated his choice of words! We need to REALLY filter what we say around that boy! :)

Oh yes and if you didn't know Corbin apparently is translated to "Ohguway" in African, or at least Corbin thinks so! He calls himself Ohugway! Today we were at Target and I was getting him some shoes and he was like "Oh Ohguway's shoes!" Hehe Oh man hes cute! :) So excited because Jason ordered us a FLIP camcorder because I am sick of lugging around our camera and we can't take it out with us. So now I can just stick the Flip camera in my purse and take videos of our sweet boys whenever we want! We were getting to the point where we are just taking pictures because the video camera 9 times out of 10 wasn't charged! I don't want to forget the adorable things our boys do on a daily basis! :)

Lately Corbin and Grayson have been really funny! The other day when we dropped Corbin off at daycare he was playing with tea party a little girl and I asked him what he was drinking he said "coffee!" Humm maybe I should make healthier choices in what to drink?!?!

Grayson is rolling from tummy to back now too! Our little guy is a rollie pollie! Yesterday when I picked up Grayson from school and he was sitting in the high chair and I started talking to him and he was started laughing hysterically! ;)
Grayson has also started to discover his mouth and all that goes in it! He is currently teething and everything goes in his mouth, his clothes, blankets, but mostly his hands! He also has discovered how to blow raspeberries and he loves making all kinds of CUTE noises with his mouth!

I can't believe how quickly he is growing up! I started him on rice cereal this weekend because he never seemed satisfied when eating. I think he really likes it!
