Bed Rest?

I went to see Dr. Kuhlmann again. My blood pressure was 140/90 again. I now am required to go to the doctor every week now because of my high blood pressure. There wasn't any protein in my urine, which is good, and I have no swelling in my hands or feet (these are a few telltale signs of preeclampsia.)

During that appointment Dr. Kuhlmann had to reposition the Doppler a few times which kinda freaked me out. He reassured me that everything was ok with Grayson but his head was staying in one position and he was having a hard time getting a good heart beat reading.

Dr. Kuhlmann did tell me that probably after next week I am going to have to go on bed rest, which can help lower my blood pressure. I had blood work done today too though so if something shows up that's questionable, bed rest maybe sooner. I guess I will be ok with that because at least I will almost be 36 weeks at that time. I just really don't want to stop working. I had planned on working until Grayson comes. Bed rest would be VERY hard on me because I don't like to be told I can't do something and I start freaking out about household chores that aren't getting done etc. Since Jason has been home today he has made me stay on the couch! I love my husband!

Our sweet boy cracked Jason and I up this morning! He has started saying "that nice!" We were getting him ready for school this morning and Jason had this show on called "Sunrise Earth." It shows different sunrises in exotic/cool places around the world. Corbin all the sudden said "Wow, that nice!" We were so proud he put together 3 words!

C-section scheduled

I went to the doctor this afternoon for a checkup. I am 33 weeks! The bad news is that my blood pressure was 140/90. I have seen this before! The nurse was like "Oh Dr. Kuhlmann is going to make you stop working!" I was like "GRREAAT!" (I was a little worried about that because I want to work on until I have the little guy!) Luckily Dr. Kuhlmann told me to rest as much as possible and then see what happens next week.

I really hope I don't end up with preeclampsia again! The sad thing is that people typically get preeclampsia with their first child. With my luck I will have it with both! (High blood pressure runs in my family!) I have to go back to the doctor again on Monday to get my blood pressure redone and do another urine sample to make sure I don't have protein in my urine.

I totally forgot to ask Dr. Kuhlmann about the scheduled c-section because at my last visit he told me that someone would call to schedule it. I called on my way home and the nurse said the c-section was already scheduled! NO ONE CALLED US! I was a little mad about that!

On a more positive note our c-section is scheduled for December 9th at 9:30! We can't wait to meet our little Grayson!

Picture Day!

This week our sweet boy had picture day!!! He looked so handsome!! I can't wait to buy the pictures this week! I saw the proofs and oh dear I need to buy them all! :) He took some really cute pictures! Apparently he was one of the only students in his class that would take a picture! Our son loves getting his picture taken! :)

Pizza!!

The other night I helped Mommy cook for the first time! Mommy wanted to do this special activity with me because Mimi, my grandma, used to cook and bake with Mommy ALL the time and she has very fond memories of cooking with her Mommy! She wants to pass on that tradition and create new memories with me!

First we poked holes in the dough so it wouldn't rise too much!

I helped sprinkle on the cheese! I liked to eat it too!

I helped put on the veggies! Mommy told me she thinks she should have thought of this idea long ago because I was trying and eating new veggies I have never eaten before!

I did a really good job making the pizza! I even helped Mommy make zucchini bread for my teachers at school for teacher appreciation day!

Something I'm really enjoying lately is having Mommy and Daddy crawl in bed with me and read stories before bedtime. My favorites right now are "Good night Moon" or as I call it "Night Moon", "No, David", and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear." I think Mommy has been feeling a little sad though because I am really favoring Daddy or as I call him "Daaa Yee" right now! I wouldn't let Mommy read any of the books last night. Mommy knows I still love her and I send her vibes to tell her not to take it personal!

I have also been talking up a STORM latey! Last night while in the bathtub I kept asking Mommy and Daddy "whats this?" I am very curious! I also say "I sorry!"

I also like to play the game "Where is Grayson?!" When Mommy says "Where's Grayson?" I lift up Mommy's shirt and kiss or blow raspberries on her tummy! I like that game! :) Grayson freaked me out the other night he was MOVING A TON and was pushing a foot or a leg out and I put my hand on Mommy's tummy and had this look of terror on my face! Mommy and Daddy laughed at me!

Mommy got to see me get my first kisses today from a girl when I got picked up from school! My friend Piper kept giving me kisses when I was leaving! Mommy thought it was really cute!

UPDATE: Jason took pictures of Corbin in action tonight getting Kylie's dog food! So I had to post pictures. We just got back from getting Kylie more food at PetSmart and Corbin saw Kylie drinking out of her bowl and what does our son do? Goes over and starts drinking out of the bowl like a dog! EEKK! It was kinda funny!

This past weekend our family decided that instead of getting a new car we are going to get the C-RV fixed. We test drove the Toyota Highlander and really liked it but felt pressured to buy it because it was the last day of the month and they were trying to give us a really good deal. I am happy we didn't buy it though. We just finished paying off both cars and all our bedroom furniture. We decided we are going to pay off our 15% mortgage which will help us afford a better house, which is better for our family in the long run.

In other news... Jason and I are trying to channel Corbin's energy into helpfulness. We took him to Target on Saturday and could barely get any shopping done. We left within 20 minutes. He doesn't like to be in the cart anymore and the stroller is a distant memory! He will not go in the stroller anymore. He just wants to walk around and "help" pick out things off the shelf. So I decided he should help with the shopping. He likes to help get Kylie's food and will carry her bowl after filling it up with food to her dog food/water holder all WITHOUT SPILLING! It is so cute!

Note: Please excuse the messy house! Corbin was almost 100% better today so we played A LOT! He was making up for lost time being so sick yesterday! And I was vacuuming up ANTS all day because we have an ant infestation in our house! Jason put out some stuff tonight and Corbin, Grayson and I are exiled to the upstairs for tonight.

Corbin was practically running to put Kylie's food in the food dish. Jason had a hard time getting a picture of him carrying the food to her dish.

My poor boys!

This morning after I showered and was getting ready, Jason started getting ready. He told me he thought he kept getting the chills and getting the body aches. So I told him to go back to bed and stay home today. I finished getting ready and then went to get Corbin up at 6:00. He woke up like normal... kinda cranky and wanted his Mommy to hold him and that's pretty typical in the mornings. When I was making breakfast, Corbin got sick all over me! I yelled up to Jason that I needed his help! Corbin got sick a few more times... everytime we tried to give him fluids or anything he got sick everytime! To make matters worse when I changed his overnight diaper it was barely wet. So I started to get worried he was going to be dehydrated.

We made a doctors appointment. Poor Jason, I made him go with me so I could sit in the back of the car with Corbin incase he threw up in the car! Jason was an awesome help all day! Its hard when all your toddler wants you to do is hold him and be 30 weeks pregnant! The doctor said Corbin just had some tummy bug or something and gave us a prescription for some expensive medicine for vomiting. He also told us that Corbin wasn't showing any signs of dehydration and to make sure to give him little bits of fluid/jello at a time and make sure he didn't drink too fast because it may upset his tummy.

Corbin took a two hour nap when we got home and he ran a little fever. Luckily he had the one fever and by four o'clock Corbin could keep some food down. I am staying home with him tomorrow just so he is 100% well and let me tell you I LOVE snuggling with our little guy!

100th post- Color and baby update

Monday afternoon, Corbin's school called (6 times on my cell phone I might add... I was in a meeting and didn't bring it! They finally clued in and called Jason! I am now going to bring my cell phone whenever I go to meetings and such!) and said he was running a fever. So Jason stayed home with him for two days and then my mom watched him yesterday. We took him to the doctors and they said he just had a little virus or something. Luckily he just ran a fever and that was all. Monday night he was very lethargic and feverish. But during that time he didn't stop for his passion... he pointed to the t.v., which wasn't on, and said "football!" this kid must have a magnetic field or something for ANYTHING football related! I guess he knew it was Monday night football!

Well Tuesday morning, fever and all, Corbin wanted to color instead of eat breakfast. I told Jason we have a "starving artist" on our hands! I know I've done a post on Corbin and his love for art. Well he really takes after his father. While Jason was watching Corbin, he went to the pantry and said "col." Jason thought he just wanted a snack, but he really was asking for "colors!"

In Grayson news, at my doctor's appointment yesterday everything was great! My blood pressure looked great and I am measuring right on target. My biggest question was going to be about a repeat c-section or a VBAC. Dr. Kuhlmann brought it up without me asking. He said that we probably need to start looking at dates for a c-section the week of December 7th. So it looks like Grayson will be here either the 7th, 8th, or 9th. He did say that if I go into labor early, he won't stop it and will just let me have a VBAC or my blood pressure starts looking bad then we may induce me. I cannot believe there are less than ten weeks and we get to meet our little boy! :)

This is what happens while Mommy is at work and Daddy is on the computer working from home and lets me walk around with crayons! I made my mark on the wall!
