firsts for Grayson and other things and great Jason news!..

This morning Grayson pulled himself up to the side of his crib to standing today! I was actually worried about him not pulling up yet and I talked to my mom about it the other day and she said he was a very intelligent boy and will do it eventually and not to worry. And he did! :) He also waved to Jason and I from his crib- a first!

Poor boys haven't been getting good naps at all lately because of showing our house. On Friday I had a doctors appointment to try and get rid of this strep I have had since Tuesday (I think I got it from the Children's museum. I STILL have it the doctor gave me some medicine but the doctor on call I called today said the meds I had didn't come in that dose and kinda acted like I was reading it wrong! Um NO I am not a doctor and I didn't prescribe myself this so please give me something to make me feel normal! I am dying here and I can barely eat it hurts so bad.) Anways so we had a showing of our house yesterday so we stayed at my parents all day and Corbin does not really nap at other peoples houses because he gets way to overstimulated. So we ended up going to dinner and he was AWFUL! He wouldn't sit down or anything so I got up halfway through the meal because I couldn't eat anyways and took him outside to run off some energy! Man this kid was SOO hyper! It doesn't' help that I think Corbin got a cold from the children's museum (he kept putting his mouth on the play food which I kept telling him not to do) which he then gave to Grayson so they both have RUNNY noses! :(

So today we have an open house from 2-4 and so we will be out of the house All day again!

We are going out to dinner with Jason's Dad's family to celebrate Jason tonight because my hardworking, fabulous husband is now a Senior Engineer! I am so proud of you Jason! You really deserve this amazing honor because of all your hard work!

A bite?

Today our realtor called and said that someone that came to see our house yesterday emailed to see how much time we would need to move out of our house. There isn't an offer yet but I hope something comes of this possibly. Our realtor told them we need at least 45 days. I was hoping to get all packed up before school starts because once it starts, oh dear things are going to get crazy with me starting a new grade. We have already talked to my parents about possibly moving in with them for a while if there is an interim period between houses. My sister Merritt is moving to Dallas to work at a PR firm at the beginning of August and my brother Brenton is going to college at KU next year. So my parents are going to be empty nesters.

Yesterday we went to the Austin's children's museum, it was Corbin's first time there, with my friend Stephanie from work and her son Nevin. Nevin went to Corbin's daycare and they were good buds. Corbin gave Nevin a huge hug when he saw him! It was so cute! Corbin had the best time! He was so good! I talked to him before we went there and told he had to hold my hand because there would be a lot of people there and he followed almost all of my directions! I was so proud of him! We had a little trouble because he did NOT want to leave the train station that is upstairs he loved it! He would push the train sound buttons and then say "I did it!" and jump up and down all excited! It was so cute!


We spent Sunday at Jason's mom's house. We went to Target and were going down a toy asile when Corbin started screaming "SUPER WHY!" We looked and it was a cute cape, mask and a "Why writer." We were going to just let him play with it in the cart and we decided to hide it. I honestly didn't think he would wear the cape or mask and he would only play with the "why writer." Corbin starts looking around the cart and said "Mommy, Daddy where is Super why." Can you help me find it Super why?" So Jason melted and said "We are buying it for him!" We are so glad we did! He was so stinkin' cute! Jason's stepdad Joe took a picture of Corbin in the costume and we need to get it from him because its adorable!

First showing

At the grocery store with Mommy yesterday! :) The picture is small because I took it with my Iphone.

Well our house officially was put intothe MLS system this morning! So other realtors can see our house and come see it! We had our first showing! I was vaccuming and didn't hear the phone and I was just finished vaccuming the whole house and looked out the window and saw people walk up. I ran downstairs and Corbin is repeating his Mommies choice words of "OH SHIT!" because I didn't know anyone was coming! Note to self make sure to choose my explicatives closely!
I didn't hear the phone! I later checked my phone and the dude called me 5 minutes before they showed up! Apparently they didn't see the note to call 2 hours ahead! I made that special note to try and keep the boys nap schedule consistent. I seriously think the poor boys naps are going to be so out of whack! So I ran and put Kylie in her crate (Corbin earlier heard her whinying in her crate and Corbin went up to her and said "You ok Kylie!?") in our backporch and then ran to make Corbin get his shoes on. I told the people I needed 5 minutes and then we would be out of here!

Anyways hopefully we will get a ton more showings! I hope! ;)

In other news Grayson is so adorable! He absolutely adores his big brother! When we are driving I see him craning his neck to try and look and see what Corbin is doing. While I was just cooking dinner Grayson was in his highchair eating Cheerios and Corbin comes up and sits next to him and starts throwing the Cheerios and Grayson and Corbin start hysterically laughing!!! It was really cute and I caught the tail end of the excitement on video! I thought it was too cute to be upset and the dog ate the Cheerios that fell on the floor! I am trying SOO hard to not have the boys or myself make a mess so we can leave at a moments notice!

Since Corbin has been watching Super Why! he loves looking for "SUPER LETTERS!" He looks for letters/words all the time! Yesterday he saw a STOP sign and said "SUPER LETTERS" and I told him it said STOP and so today we were going somewhere and he said "STOP MOMMY!" Yay our son is starting to recognize environmental print! Go Corbin! :)

on the market!

Tomorrow our house is going on the market! Now lets just hope it sells quickly and we can keep this house clean!! It looks super nice! :) Jason and I worked really hard to get rid of clutter, and touched up paint etc. The photographer came and took pictures today and hopefully it will be up on the MLS soon! The house directly behind us went on the market (it has tons of upgrades that the people put in.) It was already pending by last Friday and was only on the market a week and a half. So hopefully that is good for us although we didn't put in wood floors or granite.

We had a great time over the fourth of July and went to Jason's Mom's lakehouse and Corbin spent almost the whole time outdoors! We didn't take any pictures because we played outside and just had a great time with the family.

Grayson's tooth finally poked through and there is a little sliver. He tried his first Cheerios, I broke them in very small pieces! We can't wait to try new foods now that he is getting some teeth!

We have a crawler!

Today Grayson crawled for the first time which was about three or four crawls! We are so excited about this milestone! In the past week Grayson when he does his little scoot/crawl he can go from crawling to a sitting position!

Then when I was changing his clothes to get ready for bed I checked in his mouth and he is going to be getting a tooth soon on the lower right! I should have known he chews on everything!

Jason is so proud of Corbin! Today while driving back from look at a neigborhood up in North Austin Corbin looked at me and said "horns" and he did the hook em' horns symbol! :) It was cute!

Corbin loves to sing constantly and sings the Super Why, his new favorite show, songs all the time! Today he climbed onto his toy Mickey Mouse car and said "Super One (he calls the show Super One) Power to Read." (The show is about superhero readers solving problems using reading/spelling,etc.)

cars- they talk?

I am sitting here with Corbin and he is playing with me on the couch and he is being all cute!! He is playing with his cars and having them "talk" to each other! "Are you hungry?!" "Yes I hungry!" "Oh no you crashes!? Are you fine? Yes, I fine" HEHE I love this two year old boy! :)

Happy 7 months Grayson!

Grayson is 7 months old today! Wow time flies! We love you, Mr. Smiley!! That's a new nickname because this baby is SOO happy all the time! He is happy when he wakes up and he LOVES LOVES LOVES his Daddy! He always smiles when "dada" is around! ;)

Oh BTW our sweet boy has slept ALL night the past two nights in a row! So exciting!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to get a full nights sleep! Thank you Grayson James!

He is getting super close to crawling and is doing a military scoot all the time and can move pretty fast across the floor! He gets up on all fours and when he tries to move immediately flops into his belly! He also LOVES cars! Oh boy, he is definitely a boy! He likes to grab Corbin's matchbox cars (much to Corbin's dismay especially if its a Prius!) or these bigger plastic tonka cars for 12 month olds. He will scoot super fast across the floor if there is a car involved!

He also LOVES to eat and can finish all his meal in one sitting which is something big brother never did! If I don't make his food fast enough he starts whining at me when he sees me making it! Then I cannot shovel it in fast enough! :) He is so cute he opens his mouth even before I am close to his mouth with the spoon, its really cute!

I need to borrow Jason's Iphone so I can take off some super cute pictures snuggling with Dada that I took at Jason's Dad's house a couple of weeks ago!
